Cost and Structure:
Individual and Couple’s Sessions
Sessions are 50 minutes and cost $175.00. At your request, I offer longer sessions up to 90 minutes for an additional charge. I reserve a limited number of sessions on a sliding scale. Please inquire if the sliding scale option is of interest to you and I can let you know if that opportunity is available.
Insurance Costs and Information: I accept Cigna insurance. Working with insurance can be confusing and sometimes a challenge for clients to find out what the out-of-pocket expense will be for the cost of a session. My policy is that when working with your insurance, I collect a one time deposit of $175.00 for the first session. Once we have confirmation of coverage with your eligibility and benefits for Behavioral Health Services, that deposit will go towards your co-payment amount or refunded to you, less your copay. Simply having an insurance card does not guarantee coverage even if I am considered an “in-network” provider as some plans sub-contract out to companies in which I’m considered out of network. If you want to know your total cost for a session prior to scheduling, contact your insurance company and verify the following information:
1. Does your coverage include Behavioral Health?
2. What is your deductible?
3. What is your co-pay
4. What is your insurance coverage? Some plans cover all or just a percentage of the cost per session and you are responsible for the remainder of the cost.
Your insurance information will be collected during the first session and verification of benefits is usually completed within two to three weeks. At that time, I can confirm your total cost for sessions. You are fully responsible for meeting your deductible, copay and other costs not covered by your insurance plan. When you agree to use your insurance to pay for sessions, you also agree to cover any costs not included with your plan. I will also gladly provide a copy of your bill to your insurance company as an out of network provider if you have insurance other than Cigna.
